(Clinton Township, June 16, 2009) – Cloverleaf Pizza Take Out & Delivery in St. Clair Shores and Clinton Township’s fundraising efforts will provide a summer to remember for three local children as they get set to attend “Champions For Life Kids’ Camp.” Shawn Randazzo and Linda Michaels, owners of Cloverleaf Pizza Take Out & Delivery, presented a $1,500.00 check to Susan Pace, of Vision Hope/Champions for Life Kids Camp at Eastpointe Manor Hall on Gratiot Avenue in Eastpointe during the Youth Division Semi-Finals, for the 4th Annual “Cruisin Gratiot Idol Event”, Monday, June 15th.

The donation will fund the one week summer camp for three children. Organized by Vision Hope Champions For Life Kids’ Camp (CFL Kids’ Camp) is a faith based resident summer camp program designed with the foster child in mind. The camp experience is geared for success in building self-esteem and recognizing the special needs of abused, abandoned, and neglected children, ages 7-11, in the community. “I am very happy we were able to raise enough money to send three kids to this program. The experience and how much fun these kids will have this summer at the camp puts a smile on my face”, said Linda Michaels.

The fundraising partnership between Cloverleaf Take Out & Delivery and Vision Hope/CFL kicked off April 28. As part of the fundraising initiative Cloverleaf Pizza Take Out & Delivery pledged to donate a percentage of its sales for every Tuesday until the end of May to CFL Kids’ Camp. “We always are looking for ways to help and support the community. We liked Vision Hope because while the void in some of these kids lives may never be completely filled, programs like this do a great job in making these kids feel important, appreciated and it builds their self-esteem”, says Shawn Randazzo.
